§ 11-7. Transportation by unlicensed persons.

  • (a)

    No unlicensed person shall transport putrescible waste material on a public street.

    (b)

    An unlicensed person may transport personal yard waste, brush, recyclables, nonputrescible waste, and building materials, provided that such material shall be transported only to properly permitted disposal or recycling facilities and, further, that any materials so transported shall not be allowed to scatter, drip, fall, spill or blow from the vehicle during transportation.

    (c)

    Commercial and industrial waste generators may transport nonputrescible waste generated by their operations, provided that such material shall be transported only to properly permitted disposal or recycling facilities and, further, that any materials so transported shall not be allowed to scatter, drip, fall, spill or blow from the vehicle during transportation.

    (d)

    Nothing in this chapter shall be deemed to authorize transport of waste of any kind in violation of federal, state, or county regulations.
