§ 25-41. Occupant's, owner's duty to keep abutting sidewalk clean; penalties.

  • (a)

    The occupant of each tenement or building in the city fronting upon any street, and the owner of any unoccupied lot or building fronting as aforesaid, shall clean the sidewalk in front of such tenement, building or unoccupied lot, as the case may be, of snow and ice each day, and cause the same to be kept clear of snow and ice.

    (b)

    If such occupant or owner fails or refuses to remove the snow and ice within twenty-four (24) hours after being notified by the city, the occupant or owner shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
