§ 25-61. City engineer to furnish line, grade and to inspect, supervise and accept construction.

(a)

Whenever the construction in the city of a sidewalk on an entire side of any block is requested by all the abutting owners, or when such an improvement is ordered by the council, it shall be the duty of the city engineer to furnish line and grade and to inspect and supervise the construction within a reasonable time after a request for the same has been made in writing by any bonded sidewalk builder, whether such construction be done on contract for the city or for private individuals.

(b)

Such construction shall be done subject to the city engineer's acceptance of the same as on any written contract.
