§ 2-1. Adoption of city seal.

  • A circular seal, the impression of which shall be as follows, is hereby adopted as and declared to be the seal of the city:

    The words "CITY OF FARIBAULT" shall form almost a semicircle by curving around the upper, outer edge, and the word "MINNESOTA" shall curve at the bottom of such outer edge. These words shall be separated from the circular center area by an adjacent inner circle of dots. Inside such inner circle of dots shall be the circular center. Within such circular center, the word "INCORPORATED" shall curve along the upper portion immediately below the words "CITY OF FARIBAULT" and within such circular center, the words and figures "April 2, 1872" shall curve along the lower portion immediately above the "MINNESOTA." Directly in the center of the seal shall appear the symbols "—-•—-" and the outer rim of the seal shall consist of a circle of short tent stitches. (See attached Exhibit A).
