§ 6-71. Designation as dangerous or potentially dangerous dog.

  • The animal control authority shall designate a dog as dangerous or potentially dangerous upon receiving evidence that the dog has engaged in behavior that meets the definition of a "dangerous dog" or "potentially dangerous dog" pursuant to the definitions set forth in this article. The animal control authority shall notify the dog's owner in writing of this designation pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 347.541. The notification shall include the information required by Minnesota Statutes Section 347.541.
