Chapter 8. CIVIL DEFENSE

§ 8-4. Disclaimer of city's liability; effect of section.

(a)

The city, and, except in cases of willful misconduct, its officers, agents, employees or representatives engaged in any civil defense activities, while complying with or attempting to comply with the Minnesota civil defense act of 1951 as amended, or with this chapter or any rule, regulation or order made thereunder, shall not be liable for the death of or any injury to persons or damage to property as a result of such activity.

(b)

The provisions of this section shall not affect the right of any person to receive the benefits to which he would otherwise be entitled under this chapter or under the workmen's compensation law, nor the right of any such person to receive any benefits or compensation under any act of congress.
