§ 12.02. Oath of office.

Every elected or appointed officer of the City shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, take and subscribe an oath of office in substantially the following form: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) to support the Constitution of the United States and of the State of Minnesota, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of ____________ (title of office) of the City of Faribault, Minnesota, to the best of my judgment and ability, and this I do under the penalties of perjury."
