ORDINANCE 93-30
GRANTING A NON-EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE TO WESTMARC COMMUNICATIONS OF MINNESOTA, INC. TO
OPERATE AND MAINTAIN A CABLE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Whereas, Westmarc Communications of Minnesota, Inc., dba TCI of Southern Minnesota,
currently has a non-exclusive franchise agreement to operate and maintain a cable
communication system within the corporate limits of the City of Faribault, as granted
by ordinance; and
Whereas, said franchise will expire on December 31, 1993; and
Whereas, the city has considered and approved the technical ability, financial condition,
and legal qualifications of Westmarc Communications of Minnesota, Inc.; and
Whereas, the city council, on the 26th day of October, 1993, following proper notice,
held a public hearing on the franchise, and provided residents with a reasonable opportunity
to be heard; and
Whereas, based upon said considerations and the public hearing, the city council hereby
finds that granting a franchise to Westmarc Communications of Minnesota, Inc., would
be appropriate.
Now, therefore, be it ordained:
